I do not provide technical, medical or legal translations.

I am a qualified translator with a master’s degree in translation; I have always been a language geek.

I spend a lot of my working time on research, following the latest industry practices and working on my professional development.

To get consistent results, I use the latest computer-assisted translation tools, of which I am a certified user, as well as specialist resources and expertise in my working areas.

I never use machine translation like Google Translate. Its quality is not fit for purpose and there are also confidentiality issues.
I am the author of all my work.

This way I make sure that the files you receive from me contain the best work possible within the time frame and budget constraints.

Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools

I am a certified user of SDL Trados and currently use the 2015 edition.

I also have training in several other CAT tools – if you would like me to use a different tool, please get in touch (you will need to provide me with a licence for that tool for the duration of the project).

On average 2,000 words per day.

However, difficult texts can require a whole day to translate merely 500 words, while 8,000 words per day can be achieved with very easy texts.

Book translations always take longer than average, approximately 500-1500 words per day.

That’s why each project is priced individually.
